Join us for a film screening of Eating Plants followed by a Q&A with the director and producer! This spicy travelogue will bring the tips and benefits of a plant based diet into homes across the globe, featuring ideas from doctors, athletes, and chefs. The series follows the fastest growing vegan populations in the world: United States of America, Germany, China, United Kingdom, Australia and Israel.

During the screening, we will watch the United States and China series. Please RSVP so we can make sure to have enough food for everyone! Plant-based and gluten-free options will be available. Please email us if you have dietary or allergy concerns.

Eating plants co-directors & co-producers

Mick McIntyre has spent 35 years working in the film industry, starting out as a driver, an assistant director on feature films before documentaries. He combines his skills as a cinematographer with producing and directing. Mick’s work has been positively reviewed in the NY Times, LA Times, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, BBC, Le Monde and across Australian media

Kate Clere is a multi-award winning documentary filmmaker who brings together key international social and environmental issues with beautiful cinematic storytelling.? Her work has featured in cinemas, festivals and been broadcast worldwide, with positive reviews in the NY Times, LA Times, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, BBC & more.

Panel Moderator

Yi Jian is an independent filmmaker and food activist. He is a visiting fellow at the Animal Law & Policy Program at the Harvard Law School (2022), and was a Gleitsman Leadership Fellow at the Harvard Center for Public Leadership (2021). He is the founder and president of Good Food Fund, a leading initiative in China’s food systems transformation, whose Mama’s Kitchen project was recently named one of the ten global Top Visionaries by the Rockefeller Foundation’s 2050 Food Systems Prize. In 2021, Yi served on the Core Leadership Team of Action Track 2 of the United Nations Food Systems Summit and led its Work-stream on Food Environments. Yi’s films have won awards in international film festivals and have been shown across the globe, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
