“Exploitation and Silence in Industrial Animal Agriculture”

Join FarmSTAND Senior Staff Attorney Amal Bouhabib and Harvard Law School International Human Rights Senior Clinical Instructor Beatrice Lindstrom as they examine the intersection of industrial animal agriculture and the invisible labor of immigrants in the context of alleged discrimination, dangerous working conditions, and labor law violations at JBS Foods’ meatpacking plant in Greely, Colorado. This panel will explore how systems of exploitation persist through economic pressures, corporate structures, and the silencing of the workers whose labor sustains the industry.

A plant-based lunch will be served.
