Jack Gerscheidt is lead plaintiff in the Animal Law & Policy Clinic’s lawsuit against the National Park Service for its failure to protect the tule elk at Point Reyes National Seashore in California.

This week, ahead of a hearing in the case scheduled for 2pm PT this Thursday, he published a blog in the Marin Independent Journal about why he is suing the federal government.
