As we wish a fond farewell to our wonderful graduating students who contribute so meaningfully to our success, we would like to share some of the Harvard Animal Law & Policy Program’s accomplishments from the Spring semester.
Breaking: Clinic amicus brief quoted by judge who today ruled that the Trump administration’s U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service improperly denied Endangered Species Act protections to the Pacific walrus.
“Under existing law, cephalopods are not required to be provided with “the appropriate use of tranquilizers, analgesics, anesthetics, paralytics and euthanasia” or “appropriate pre-surgical and post-surgical veterinary medical and nursing care,” wrote clinical fellow Kate Barnekow of the Animal Law & Policy Program.
