HLS SALDF, ALPP, and the Petri Flom Center are excited to bring Dr. Thea Capaldo to campus to discuss animal testing, and efforts and innovations to reduce unnecessary suffering of animals in labs.

Dr. Thea Capaldo is president and executive director of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society (NEAVS), its educational affiliate, the Ethical Science Education Coalition (ESEC), and spearheads NEAVS’ national campaign Project R&R: Release and Restitution for Chimpanzees in U.S. Laboratories. In this role, she is at the forefront of animal testing issues. She is also trustee of the American Fund for Alternatives to Animal Research, which fosters the development and validation of alternatives to animals in research, testing, and education.
