Elizabeth MeLampy Former Co-President

Elizabeth MeLampy is a graduate of Harvard Law School. As a 3L she was Co-President of the Animal Law Society. Before law school, she received her bachelor’s degree in the comparative study of religion at Harvard College. After completing her undergraduate work, she worked as a litigation paralegal at Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Boston, MA for two years.

Elizabeth grew up with a deep respect for animals—her grandmother was a veterinarian and anthropologist who studied human-animal relations, and animals were always a part of her life. In law school, she has dedicated herself to pursuing a career in animal law. In the summer of 2019, Elizabeth interned at the Animal Welfare Institute in Washington, D.C. She interned with Animal Outlook during the Spring of 2020, and she spent the summer of 2020 interning first at the Conservation Law Foundation and then with the PETA Foundation. She also worked with Harvard Law School’s Animal Law & Policy Clinic, and looks forward to becoming a stronger advocate for animals.
